Position Summary
We are seeking three reliable and energetic Part-Time Lunch Cooks to join our close-knit family team. This role focuses on our fast-paced lunch service, where you’ll prepare and serve a quick, student-friendly menu. As part of this crew you are responsible for preparing and serving a growing and evolving lunch menu, while ensuring a clean and organized environment. Speed, efficiency, and consistency are essential.
In addition to lunch service, you will help transition the restaurant from daytime operations to evening dinner service by completing thorough cleaning, restocking, and basic preparation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-volume lunch items quickly and to consistent quality standards
- Handle food prep (portioning, chopping, assembling ingredients) for efficient service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation during peak service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including fryers & ovens
- Provide friendly, efficient service to customers in a fast-paced environment
- Assist with deep cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas after lunch
- Set up and prepare the restaurant for dinner service (stocking, re-arranging dining area etc.)
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred (fast-food, cafeteria, or casual dining experience is a plus)
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under time pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and cleanliness
- Positive attitude and reliability – we’re a small family team and value team players
- Comfort working with students and providing quick, friendly service
- Ability to work safely & productively as an individual & as part of a team
- Food Handler’s Certificate
