Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and attentive Server to join our close-knit family team. As a Server at Gran Sasso you will play a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. You’ll serve our authentic Italian dishes with warmth and professionalism in a lively, family-oriented setting.

This position focuses on evening dinner service, where you will help guests enjoy quality Italian meals in a cozy, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with genuine enthusiasm, sharing highlights of our Italian specialties
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system
  • Serve dishes and drinks promptly while maintaining excellent food presentation
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell thoughtfully to enhance the guest experience
  • Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation at all times
  • Manage multiple tables effectively during busy periods with grace and efficiency
  • Address guest questions, special requests, dietary needs, and concerns with professionalism and care
  • Keep dining areas, tables, and service stations clean and inviting throughout your shift
  • Answer phones, take reservations, and process take-out orders
  • Assist with light food preparation and kitchen support when needed

  • Excellent customer service skills with a naturally friendly and professional demeanor
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Ability to handle food safely and follow all sanitation guidelines
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing
  • Effective time management and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Smart Serve Certificate (required)
  • Previous restaurant experience is an asset, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important
  • Availability to work Wednesday through Saturday evenings
